Hi,
As far as spreading the word about your website goes, there is another great resource that is still very much underrated by many people. That is Squidoo. Squidoo is a place where people can get together and swap information, links and everything related to the online world by building a window to the web, known as a lens.
A Squidoo lens is really just a simple to create web page that you can put up in minutes and keep adding to as you go along. In may ways a Squidoo lens is similar to a blog but with a lot more features added. From a marketer’s point of view, your own Squidoo lens can provide your online business with many additional positive promotional benefits.
One is added exposure for your website which converts into more targeted traffic – something we could all use. More traffic to your website means more chances for affiliate sales etc. Then there are the all-important back-links. Squidoo is highly favoured by Google so your back-links to your site counts as coming from a high ranking website – good for your own page ranking, which in turn means a higher placement and even better traffic.
Of course, you don’t have to stick with one lens either. I have only recently discovered the great thing about Squidoo is that by creating several lenses on more specific topics from within your niche, you not only get more of those coveted back-links to your site, but even greater exposure to what amounts to very targeted traffic from readers interested in the specific topic you can cover with a dedicated lens.
So far, I have created three lenses. The first compliments The Honest Way, the second compliments my Alternative Cures site. I probably would have stopped there had I not realised the full potential of Squidoo. So I created a third on a specific topic within my Alternative Cures niche and was pleasantly surprised with the result.
So if you want to see how they all look, or are interested in creating your own Squidoo lens and wanted to see one or three live ones, here is the address of the sister lens for The Honest Way and my Alternative Cures lens:

Hi all,
The new series of articles covering how to build a website from the ground up is growing nicely. We’re up to article number 6 now and there’s still lots more to cover. The associated website that we’re building in real time to go along with the series is starting to take shape in that there is a homepage, site map and a style sheet, all of which are growing as the series moves forward with more HTML and CSS code being added.
In order to keep each phase of the website build in sync with the articles, the site’s files are being kept in its own tutorial folder. The actual website, Organic Sanity itself is being updated in real time, but anyone coming in at the beginning will still see the website grow from nothing by viewing the tutorial pages on their browser instead of opening the root index.php file.
Clear as mud?
Well, don’t worry. The articles are written in basic, plain English so anyone should be able to follow them and see how changes and additions in code make a web page change appearance right before their eyes!
So if you want to learn from the ground up but don’t want to plough though some stuffy manuals, then have a look at our tailor-made articles instead. You’ll be glad you did!
See you again soon…

It’s not often that I make serious changes to the site’s homepage, but this evening I decided to do just that.
A couple of months ago, I put the site up for review in one of the more serious marketing forums and it got a bit of a slating from one of the senior and very experienced members. What it boiled down to was that the homepage was too busy. There was just too much there to detract from the task of getting a visitor to a) sign up to my free offer and b) navigate to one of my other pages, for instance the articles page.
He was right, of course. But I was hesitant to go so far as to remove all my nice ads and affiliate links that had accumulated in the sidebar. My logic was that those links were there to generate some income from the site. I was wrong about that too.
You see, the most important thing about your homepage should be its simplicity and its ability to create enough desire in your visitor to want to see more of the website. It should also make them want to sign up to your list.
So, after much consternation and debilitation, I took the plunge and with one fell swoop removed ALL of my ads from the homepage. Not even the Amazon search box escaped the cull!
And do you know what? I actually like it better now!
All the ads are there in the other pages and if a visitor is keen enough to want to navigate elsewhere in the site, then they’ll still get to see the ads and maybe even want to click on them. At least they will have seen enough of the site to hopefully convince them to return soon to see what has been updated or added.
So we live and learn!
Thanks for looking in – and while you’re here, go have a look at the homepage!

Hi,
I just got wind of a new forum that has been created to address a big problem that occurs in many other forums. That of bad advice.
There are many good forums dedicated to the business of Internet Marketing and they have lots of good, active, knowledgeable members who are only too happy to help out the newer members and those needing advice and guidance. Unfortunately, there are some members of forums who, in their enthusiasm to impress their peers, or just plain want to be helpful, that mistakenly offer the wrong advice on some things. It’s not usually malicious or intended, but most often simply misguided or erroneous, but can end up with the recipient of that advice making a bad decision and compromising their fledgling online business.
So to address this problem, respected online marketer Robert Puddy has created a new Expert’s Forum. This has been set up with ten very well respected and knowledgeable people in different fields from the world of Internet Marketing as mentors and moderators. These people will monitor all posts to make sure any advice given is correct and honest. They will also give their own advice freely to members.
There is a price for this valuable membership. At present, the cost is $10 for the first 1000 members. After that it goes up (doesn’t it always!)
For that, you get expert mentoring, information and advice for a full year plus NO spammers will get in simply because you cannot bypass the registration system – to join and post you have to be a paid member and spammers won’t pay period.
So if you want to get the best in advice and give your own internet business the best possible start by rubbing shoulders with the top people in the business AND being able to network with the best (that includes the possibilities of top notch JVs etc), then sign up today!
Don’t wait for the price to go up (unless you want to)! Here’s the link:
