Well, I’ve just put up a new website to compliment The Honest Way and help boost exposure to the site and (of course) generate more affiliate sales. Over the next few days I’ll be adding articles to the site and some more affiliate products to boost business.

I’ve done it the sneaky way and it’s something that you might want to have a go at yourself if your are also in the business of affiliate marketing and want to boost your promotion prospects. It was also FREE (apart from my time and effort, that is).

I simply added a subdomain to the main site. But that wasn’t all I did. Oh no!

I tripped over this idea while I was searching long tail keywords for adding another IM Squidoo lens. I was looking at the different alternatives to “make money online”, which in itself has a good number of searches every month for not too many sites listed on Google. Then I started trying to find a url to go with it – and was a little put out to find that every single worthwhile long tail keyword to do with “money” had been used as a Squidoo lens url!

Why do you suppose this was?

It has a lot to do with SEO, I do believe. If your site (or lens) name matches your domain name and is your main keyword, then BANG! you got some serious SEO going there!

So how to get a lens with a good chance of some decent SEO when ALL the good names relating to “money” has been pinched already. Then it hit me.

HINT: I didn’t go on to make the lens.
