Competitions

Since my recent slice of good luck in an online competition, I’ve been keeping my eyes open for more that interest me. I found another one that did just that.

Monika is running a nice competition over at The Writers Manifesto especially for bloggers but anyone who loves to write can enter. All you do is write a post that is a tutorial. It doesn’t matter what the tutorial is about - your choice - it just has to be in the format of a tutorial and of course be accurate as well as interesting!

It runs until midnight (PST) on 20th October 2007, when the competition will close and all the blogger who entered get to choose who they think wrote the best tutorial. The person with the most votes from all the other contestants wins the $50 first prize.

Sound like something that might interest you?

Click the link above. I have a hankering to have a go myself!

Well you could have knocked me down with a feather! I just heard that I won a prize over at John Cow’s place for entering his competition by blogging about his competition! It was that easy!!

For my sins, the prize is a copy of Aaron Wall’s SEObook!

Ok, I know I’m already selling my very own eBook all about The Secrets of SEO Revealed which sort of makes me a bit of an expert in that field anyway. But it never hurts to have as much information from other experts as possible in one’s armory! This will make a brilliant addition to my collection!

I have to admit, I was rather hoping for Yaro Starak’s prize, which was a free 3 month’s worth of his Blogging course, BlogMastermind. That’s simply because I’ve learned quite a lot from him already from his giveaways and the amazing amount of information he writes up in his own blog on how to make money with a blog and I wanted to learn some more from this very knowledgeable bloke!

But it doesn’t matter, because I won a prize and that doesn’t happen to me very often!

So thanks to the esoteric John Cow and his (or is it theirs) blogging competition - I look forward to more!

There are often some great competitions that bloggers run across from time to time and I just found one that got my interest.

The mysterious John Cow has managed to appropriate three rather desirable items to give away as prizes from top people Seth Godin, Aaron Wall and Yaro Starak over at his blog. Any one of them is soooo worth picking up, but you’ll have to get over there and see what they are for yourself.
To enter, you can either leave a comment to his post, subscribe to his RSS feed, comment and add a mention of his contest on someone else’s blog (that might not go down too well…) or do what I’m doing and blog about his contest!

That’s assuming John Cow is in fact a he, or is only one person!

So if you like competitions and would like to be in with a chance of picking up a very worthwhile prize for doing what you do anyway, get over to his (her/their) site and have a go for yourself!
