What happens to your lovingly cared for blog (or blogs) when you find yourself in a situation where you simply cannot give any time to them for as long as a few days?
Well, often when this situation occurs blogs can become temporarily abandoned in favour of whatever it is that is keeping the author away from their beloved computer! When there really is no way to post on your blog, then you just have to accept that there will be a gap in your posts for a few days. It’s not a disaster and not the end of the world either. It just means you need to write a few quality posts when you return to normal.
Sometimes, though there are times when you can sneak a few crafty minutes on your computer and these are the times when you can keep your blog up to date. You only need to post a few short paragraphs and then hit the publish button – voila, your blog stays up to date!
As long as the post has been published, there is the all-important date stamp to keep the blog up to date in the eyes of the search engine bots. Then when you can spend more time online again, you can flesh these posts out with more content to keep the momentum going! Ok, that’s a bit of a cheat, but if your blog is being used (or will be used) to make money online it’s important to advertisers to see that the blog they are spending their advertising dollars on is being kept current and filled with good, unique and relevant content.
So if it means you only literally have a few minutes to be online, don’t waste them reading your emails, write a short post for your blog first and keep it’s momentum going!
