Yep, the articles on building a website from scratch are starting to flow now. There are three of ‘em in the articles database for you budding webmasters to get your heads around. The website that I will be building alongside the articles has a name:

Organic Sanity

As you will have already figured out from the above link, it also has a domain and is hosted. There isn’t much to see just yet as I want to put the site together in real time alongside the publication of each new article, so it may take a couple of weeks to morph into something that looks like a professional site.

But time is relative, here. Someone reading these articles as I publish them will see time moving slowly as the website grows piece by piece, graphic by graphic, page by page. Someone else coming in and reading the articles once they’re all published will see only a finished site - but don’t let that put anyone off - there are a set of tutorial pages that you can open (or will be able to open as I publish each new article) that will show the website in it’s various stages of development.

So you will, in the coming weeks, have the choice to read the articles and look at the tutorial pages to see the site unfurling in real time, or take the impatient route and just open the finished site and try to figure out how I built it (not recommended).

So a short piece about the site itself. As the name, Organic Sanity might suggest, the theme of the site will be organic produce - specifically the niche will be organic gardening as this is a topic that is very close to my heart and one that I know quite a bit about - and one that interests me big time! I’ll be aiming to get the site into a money making position as well, because what’s the point of building a professional site if you’re not going to use it to earn some online beer vouchers. (That’s organic beer, if you like!)

I can’t think of a more Honest Way to make some online cash than with good, down to earth (pun intended!) organic produce linked to some solid organically themed products and ebooks. Can you?

Until next time…

Terry Didcott
